Great Meadow, host to the Virginia Gold Cup steeplechase races, is a world class international polo field that has been described as one of the best playing surfaces between New York and Aiken, S.C. Great Meadow Polo Club has over 75 playing members, making it one of the largest in the region. During the summer more than 20,000 fans--young professionals as well as families--gather at Great Meadow with tailgates and picnics to watch the Twilight Polo program with two matches every Saturday night. The 2008 Season runs May 31st - September 6th, with our final 3 days of Polo event celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Virginia Polo. 

For the kids: Polo Bear is here to play and hand out goodies during the two matches, a bubble machine blows millions of bubbles to play in on our Polo stadium after the game.

Bring your own food or purchase items from our vendors on site: Market Salamander and Boss Hawg BBQ. Enjoy a bottle of wine from a visiting local vineyard and drink it on our brand new entertainment deck in the north goal area - you will LOVE the ACTION!

Gates open at 6:30 P.M., with the first match to begin at 7:00 P.M. Admission is still only $20 per carload ($10 if you come alone) and is the best deal in town for excitement and action.
