Great Meadow, host to the Virginia Gold Cup steeplechase races, is a world class international polo field that has been described as one of the best playing surfaces between New York and Aiken, S.C. Great Meadow Polo Club has over 75 playing members, making it one of the largest in the region. During the summer more than 20,000 fans--young professionals as well as families--gather at Great Meadow with tailgates and picnics to watch the Twilight Polo program with two matches every Saturday night. The 2011 Season runs May 21nd - September 17th, (there is no Arena September 10 due the the two days of Grass Polo). 

For the kids: Polo Bear is here to play and hand out goodies during the two matches. There is fun and games at halftime and plenty of open space to run around.

Bring your own food or purchase items from our vendors on site. Boss Hawg is selling some of the areas best BBQ. Stop by the Barrel Oak Wine Bar and enjoy a bottle of wine from one of our local favorites Barrel Oak Winery. You can relax and drink it on our entertainment deck in the north goal area or take it back to your tailgate.  

Did you know that after the Polo Matches we have dancing on the Pavilion. We have a great DJ and we invite our guests to enjoy the rest of the evening dancing under the stars!

Gates open at 6:30 P.M., with the first match to begin at 7:00 P.M. Admission is $30 per carload ($10 if you come alone) and is the best deal in town for excitement and action.
