Cynthia Jeffery

Executive Director

Cindy Jeffery

Cindy Jeffery is proud to serve as Executive Director of Great Meadow Foundation, bringing global leadership experience and deep personal ties to Virginia to advance the organization’s mission and expand its impact.

Cindy spent her early childhood in Virginia, where a love for green grass, wide-open spaces, and community gatherings first took root. After graduating from college, she spent a summer traveling through Europe, a formative experience that sparked a lasting commitment to gaining global perspective. Soon after, she joined Mary Kay Cosmetics in its International Division, beginning a career defined by international growth and expansion.

What began as a two-year assignment in Hong Kong to help launch the company’s first overseas manufacturing facility evolved into a 23-year chapter abroad. During that time, Cindy played a leadership role in Mary Kay’s entry into China and broader Asia-Pacific development. She later held senior positions with Thomson Financial/Reuters and The Financial Times, and founded two entrepreneurial ventures, including one that successfully listed on Nasdaq.

After years of returning to Virginia each summer to spend time with her family, Cindy made the decision to return permanently to the place she has always considered home.

She holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of South Florida and an MBA in International Management from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her career reflects a blend of international business acumen, media expertise, entrepreneurial leadership, and a lifelong appreciation for the land and community that define Great Meadow.
