OUR MISSION

Founded in 1984, Great Meadow has been a vision in action for 40 years. Building on the legacy of our founder, Arthur W. “Nick” Arundel, our mission is to preserve open space for public benefit and to celebrate equestrian pursuits, nature, and the cultural heritage of our region. Rooted in Virginia’s Piedmont, Great Meadow is a living commons that protects land, connects people, and sustains tradition and habitat.
