The National Sporting Library & Museum (NSLM) is a research library and fine art museum in Middleburg, Virginia, dedicated to reserving, promoting, and sharing the literature, art, and culture of equestrian, angling, and field sports. Founded in 1954, the NSLM's campus includes a library housing over 26,000 volumes, rare books, and archives dating from the 16th century, and a museum with a permanent collection of over 1,300 objects, including paintings, sculptures, and works on paper from the 17th through 21st centuries. The museum also presents an active schedule of changing exhibitions and offers a variety of educational programs, lectures, and family activities throughout the year.
