Model Rocket Launch with NOVAAR

If you enjoy model rocketry, you are invited to join the Northern Virginia Association of Rocketry (NOVAAR) for a model rocket launch at Great Meadow! NOVAAR is the public model rocket club in Northern Virginia and is a chartered section of the National Association of Rocketry (NAR). NOVAAR is one of the most active model rocket clubs in the U.S. and has over 51 years of history, success, safety, and fun in the hobby of model rocketry. If you are not able to attend this launch, please join us for one of our other scheduled launch dates in 2026!

NOVAAR Launches are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, and all ages are welcome to watch and/or participate in the rocket launches. We welcome anyone who is interested in model rocketry and learning more about NOVAAR. To launch a rocket at NOVAAR, there is no minimum age requirement for purchasing or flying model rockets. However, it is recommended that individuals under 10 years of age have adult supervision when participating in model rocketry activities.

You are NOT required to be a member of NOVAAR to be a spectator or launch.  NON-NOVAAR member rocket launch fees are as follows: Each model rocket launch costs $1, HPR launches are $5 and HPR Cert attempts are $10.

Launch fees are collected at check-in for each NOVAAR event.
