The American Rocketry Challenge (ARC)

May 19 @ 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

The American Rocketry Challenge

Come watch more than 150 model rocket launches as the country’s middle and high school teams compete at the American Rocketry Challenge National Finals. The American Rocketry Challenge—now in its 22nd year—is the world’s largest student rocketry competition, with nearly 5,000 students nationwide competing annually. The contest provides students in 6th – 12th grades the opportunity to design, build, and launch model rockets and gain hands-on experience solving engineering problems. The American Rocketry Challenge (ARC) is organized by the Aerospace Industries Association and the National Association of Rocketry with the support of over a dozen aerospace company sponsors and partnerships with organizations including NASA and the Federal Aviation Administration. The annual challenge is the aerospace industry’s flagship program designed to encourage students to pursue academic and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math.

This year, the top 100 teams will compete for the title of National Champion, $100,000 in cash and prizes, and the opportunity to represent the United States at the International Rocketry Challenge this July at the Farnborough Air Show in London.

Bring your family and friends and enjoy a day of rocket launches, interactive exhibits, food, and more. Event is FREE to attend, open to the public, and all ages are welcome!

Food trucks will have food for purchase on site.
